The best thing about going to a Catholic School is all the random days we have off. This past Thursday was Acension Thursday, aka the fortieth day after Easter Sunday and the day Christ ascended into Heaven. Anyway for this we had no school and my sister and I about strected our curfew to the max…

What else is there to do on a Wednesday night in Lincoln, NE besides chill at a friends house? Like any other day we head to Rachael’s. We overstayed our welcome and headed home at about 11:50. Being the youth that we are, our legal curfew was midnight. At about 11:55 Lauren got pulled over outside Runza on Yankee Hill. The “posted” speed limit was 45…she was pushing 70.
As the lights flickered behind us we pulled to the side. The officer did his standard greeting and was pretty polite throughout the process. As we fumbled to find our current insurance, we handed him the expired card. (4 months to be exact!) After this i was assured Lauren would get a speeding ticket! The officer came back a few minutes later and handed her a slip. “This is your warning, your liscense expires in one minute, head home.”
How the hell did that just happen?
